Words have always been my friends.

They’ve got me into jobs, out of trouble, around problems and through difficult times for myself and others.

I love their power to inform, instil, enthuse, empathise and entertain. I enjoying playing around with them to make them work that little bit harder.

Above all, I relish the challenge of finding the right words and then plugging them into the rhythm of life. From the unconditional joy of a three year old to the sadness of a lifetime ended and everything in-between, poetry always has a place.

Poems are dead if they’re not read. So I’m giving some of mine a new lease of life by sharing them with you. Some are serious, some topical, some personal, many just for fun. I hope you get half as much from reading them as I do from writing them.
